I want a drone to film what goes on in my PE classes. This is some amazing footage from Seth .Haley. I was out there one of the days of filming and he had amazing control over the drone.
It would also be cool to take a class paddleboarding. Not in the winter of course though.

Human Stop Watch
I found a low tech way to motivate my students to work very hard in PE class. It is a free download on Teachers Pay Teachers Students work with a partner. I use this for a warm-up at least once a month and you can modify it to work with any skill you want to work on.

Line Dance
I try to keep everyone moving in my PE classes. One way I keep students moving its by playing a dance song so students can dance when they would otherwise not be moving. For example, when we are playing tag I might play the song, Cha Cha Slide , so even when students are not being chased they can still participate. A new dance I just taught my class is called the Interlude Dance Now whenever I play the song my students dance to it.

180bpm Running
One of my favorite stores is Playmakers in Okemos, Michigan. It seems like every time I go to the store I runners are talking about running at 180 strides per minute. Runners World has great article on the subject. To help my students run at 180 strides I first use an online metronome that I set to 180. Once students get the hang of it I use the DJ program Virtual DJ to change the speed of songs so that we can run and correct the pitch of the song. I change the pitch of the song so the song doesn't sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks.
